Here’s a list of what to do at The Fort this Father’s Day this weekend.
1. Fort Worth Zoo
The Fort Worth Zoo has planned a barbecue for dads who want to take a walk on the wild side. There will also be adoptions of meerkats. 6-8 p.m. Saturday
2. Music of the Eagles
It’s a classic Dad move to nod to classic rock, and the music from the Botanical Garden eagles might give Dad a neck ache. 8:15 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Saturday
3. Bait shop
The fishing is hit or miss, but taking dad to a tackle shop is always a hit…and there’s a new one in town for every dad to marvel at. Located in Clearfork, Karl’s Fishing & Outdoors is a new place to check out.
4. Fishing Festival
If you think your dad is a peach, check out the annual peach festival at Martin House Brewing Co. on Sylvania Avenue. There will be a range of peach treats, and part of the proceeds will go to support those affected in Uvalde. Noon to 5 p.m. Saturday
5. Texas Motor Speedway
Texas Motor Speedway is also getting into the Father’s Day spirit with its latest installment in the LS Fest series this weekend. If you’re a dad or have a dad and need speed, or just watch things happen on a track, head to Texas Motor Speedway for drifting, drag racing, and more. Friday and Saturday
