Batgirl’s origin story teased as Glasgow cafe withdraws favorite special menu

Batgirl seems to have a tough job at hand trying to bring down Gotham’s supervillain Firefly when the highly anticipated HBO Max movie hits screens after filming in Glasgow.

The scenes which have been shot on the streets of Glasgow so far have shown the incendiary serial arsonist – played by Brendan Fraser – setting fire to everything in his wake, torching cars, buildings and engaging in beatings. incendiary fist with firefighters wielding axes above fire engines rolling down Ingram Street.

Yet Batgirl may have unwittingly discovered an even bigger foe that has earned her ire in the form of something quite different – a cafe that pulls an amazing special from its menu.

Dominican-American actress Leslie Grace, who plays Barbara Gordon, seems to have found herself in the same boat as many of the city’s visitors when she succumbs to the delights of screen and coffee served at the hip West End spot. Paper cup.

So much so that when Papercup announced they were saying goodbye to The Cornbread French Toast special last week, she took to Insta to mourn the loss.

She posted a photo of the dish to her Insta Story with the caption, “Papercup add this to the menu please…can’t be the end of the cornbread special. Still not finished.”

Luckily, it looks like the Papercup staff may have avoided being sent to join the rest of the bad yins in the thieves’ gallery, after posting news of the new special.

Yesterday they posted: “On special starting at 9am tomorrow. Cornbread French Toast was a tough act to follow, but we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to bring you some exciting new dishes. Stack of Pancakes with Cheese with wasabi cream, smoked salmon, marinated zucchini, fried egg, arugula, crushed wasabi peas and a little okonomi sauce to finish.”

And it saw the 27-year-old singer-songwriter respond below with, “….wait…that just might make up for it.”

Who knows, maybe this could be Batgirl’s origin story in the Glasgow film, we’ll have to wait and see.
