Ice Skating and Other Fun Activities at Winterfest in Wildwood

GREENVILLE, NC (WNCT) – Greenville Parks & Recreation will host Winterfest in Wildwood from January 21-23.

Wildwood Park will transform into a winter wonderland. Attendees can enjoy many fun festivities at the Winter Wonderland. Skaters can bring a chair to sit in front of the fire pits, make smores, sip hot chocolate and more.

The three-day event will include waterside ice skating, a 5K, a polar dip, a beer and wine bar and more. Megan Howard is the department’s special events supervisor and she explains that the proceeds also go to a greater cause.

“Our pop special team has always wanted to do a polar dip so I came up to them and said I’m going to do this let’s team up and they came on board immediately so part of the profits from the weekend will go at their Special Olympics basketball,” said Megan Howard, special events supervisor for the Greenville Recreation and Parks Department.
