MARLBOROUGH, MA – New Year’s Eve in 2021 will not be a full return to normal thanks to the surge in coronavirus cases linked to the omicron variant. But the holiday season is back in a much bigger way compared to 2020.
Here are some of the events and activities happening near Marlborough this year, including the return of the area’s biggest event: First Night in downtown Boston, which did not take place in person on December 31, 2020.
New Years Eve 80s Ball, Marlborough – Tackle Box Brewing Company will host a DJ spinning 80s music and dinner. This is a closed and paid event.
first night, Boston – The biggest local New Year’s Eve celebration will feature a full day of music, entertainment and food in and around Back Bay. The City Fireworks Show begins at 7:01 PM, followed by the Inner Harbor Fireworks Show at midnight.
Worcester Common Ice Oval – The ice rink behind Worcester Town Hall has extended hours throughout the week due to school holidays. The rink will be open until 9 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.
New Year’s Eve at the Vernon Hotel, worcester — Head to the famous Kelley Square bar for an evening of music, poetry and drinks.
Lock 50 New Year’s Eve, worcester – This Canal District restaurant will offer special NYE dinners and outdoor igloos for added coronavirus safety.
New Year’s Eve Dance Party with Chuck Perks, worcester – A coverless dance party will be held at NYE with music from the 80s, 90s and 2000s hosted by Chuck Perks.
Lester Grooves New Years at Birchtree Bread, worcester – The Canal District restaurant and bakery will have live music on Friday night before the ball drops.
