NSW Blues fans explode in State of Origin disallowed try against Queensland Maroons in Game 1

Blues fans EXPLODE as NSW are denied Junior Paulo’s try by obstruction appeal – after Tariq Sims opened up Queensland’s defense with an excellent run

NSW Blues fans were angry after a try against Junior Paulo with just a minute left in the first half was disallowed due to obstruction.

A brilliant run from second rower Tariq Sims opened up the Queensland defence, before fleet float Paulo was able to get past four Maroons defenders to score.

The play was then reviewed and the bunker disallowed the try after it was confirmed that decoy runner Cameron Murray had stopped in the line preventing Pat Carrigan from making a tackle.

Fans were angry, but even Blues legend Andrew Johns admitted the referees and the bunker made the right call.
