KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 119,251 tons of cargo comprising 76,171 tons of imported cargo and 43,080 tons of exported cargo in the last 24 hours ending at 07:00.

The total import cargo of 76,171 goods included 63,974 tons of containerized cargo, 330 tons of chickpeas, 3,923 tons of DAP and 5,980 tons of urea.

The total export of 43,080 includes 26,780 tons of containerized cargo, 4,300 tons of Clinkers and 12,000 tons of oil and liquid cargo.

Nearly 8,415 containers including 5,414 import containers and 3,001 export containers were handled on Thursday.

The distribution of imported containers shows 938 containers of 20 and 1820 of 40 loaded while 288 containers of 20 and 274 containers of 40 empty, while that of exported containers shows 634 containers of 20 and 442 containers of 40 loaded while 181 containers of 20 and 651 containers of 40 empty containers were handled during business hours.

Around 07 vessels namely Esl Victoria, Tss Shams, KMTC Dalian, Multan, Navig8 Goal, OOCL Australia and Tsingtao Express have berthed at Karachi port.

Some 05 vessels namely Safeen Prism, Meghna Harmony, Amity, Bay Spirit and KMTC Dalian have left Karachi Port.

QASIM PORT

A total of 08 ships have been committed to PQA docks in the past 24 hours, of which 02 ships, EM Astoria and Hafnia Aventurine left port on Thursday morning, while 02 other ships, Yihai and At Middle Bridge are expected to sail today. today. in the afternoon.

A cargo volume of 105,600 tonnes, comprising 79,313 tonnes of import cargo and 26,287 tonnes of export cargo, including containerized cargo transported in 1,861` containers (481 TEU import and 1,380 TEU export). export) has been processed at the port within the last 24 hours.
