Finally, it seems that we see the light at the end of the tunnel of this terrible pandemicand our favorite cultural events are popping up again.

Red Bull Dance Your Style, the first one-on-one street dance contestis back in the ring with its 2022 season, amplifying dance scenes from all corners of the country.

As announced by the event organizers in a press release, cities like Tampa, Chicago, Washington DC, Oakland, Atlanta and New Orleans will celebrate the diversity of the dance community in the new edition of the competition.

Kicking off Thursday, April 7 at Boston’s iconic House of Blues, the all-style dance competition will feature the region’s top dancers in hip-hop, house, waacking, turfing, krumping, popping and everything else.

Through a tableau-style tournament, dancers will go one-on-one with a spontaneous musical ensemble of randomly selected genres while the audience votes to determine who advances to the next round. Without a jury, without planned choreography and without music chosen in advance, it’s all about seizing the moment, wowing the audience and moving to the music.

The US competition circuit will culminate with the Red Bull Dance Your Style USA National Finals in New Orleans, taking place over a full weekend from Saturday May 21 through Sunday May 22.

Creating a platform for education, connection and celebration, the weekend will feature dance programming including selected events, workshops and performances with stages from across the country. The weekend will culminate in the Final Dance Battle, which will give regional winners one last chance to qualify for the Red Bull Dance Your Style World Finals, taking on wildcards such as Lily Frias, Nick Fury, Tyler D Creator and Toyin.
