Shinshan shot to fame at age 17 when he became the winner of Holland’s Got Talent. Possessing one of the craziest, most unique and recognizable styles in the game, not to mention being incredibly skilled and musical, Shinshan describes his style as follows: “Like a Cuban snake. I’m flexible, but I’m both rhythmic and static.

Being a true musical leader, admits Shinshan, is the most important element of all. “I listen to music all the time, from jazz to hip-hop, from Latin to funk, from classical to hard rock. It doesn’t depend on the style,” Shinshan says. “Even more important than that is the atmosphere, the emotion and the story that the music tells you.”

On winning the first-ever Red Bull Dance Your Style World Final in Paris, Shinshan said: “It’s surreal for me, I’m seventeen. For me, winning something like this is like a dream. Red Bull Dance Your Style was crazy, there were so many new dancers from so many countries. I liked that!”
