The UNLV Rebel Girls have reached the championship round of the Red Bull Support Reel dance contest and need the Las Vegas community to help them win.
After winning rounds one, two, and three, the varsity dance team advanced to the final round of the competition and needed fan votes to win.
From Tuesday, November 14 at 10 a.m. to Thursday, November 16 at 10 p.m., the team will need 5,000 votes for a chance to win it all.
Each week, the team created a routine and submitted a video for the contest judges to score, along with fan votes to help boost their favorite dance team’s overall score.
After four intense rounds of head-to-head competition, the last team standing will claim the crown as Red Bull Bracket Reel Dance champions.
UNLV Rebel Girl Sara Simpson says there’s a lot at stake in the competition.
“If we win, we can fly to Los Angeles and work on a professional music video, so it would mean a lot to us to win because it would be a great opportunity,” she said.
Simpson says the Rebel Girls have worked around the clock to create videos that stand out, and they hope all their hard work pays off.
“We’re super proud of our team, we’ve worked so hard and we just want everyone in the community to support us to get to the top, number 1,” she said.
