Vacation Activities Around Philadelphia Part 2: Top 6 with Jessica Boyington

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — It’s starting to look a lot like Christmas, and there’s so much to do! I found some festive activities you can add to your list before the big day!

The old town district is having a window decorating contest for the holidays! You can avoid the large crowds and vote for the best storefront, while exploring the historic district with over 100 retail stores. I couldn’t resist wandering into Bone Jour, the pet store with everything your fur babies need. My dogs, Jake and Rocky, have been good boys this year!

FigNorthern Liberties’ new Italian hot spot, has figured out how to transition into the festive season with a winter dining experience you won’t get anywhere else.

You can eat inside like you normally would, or you can be like me and dine inside a toasty igloo with Cinderella. She often makes appearances at brunches!

I could eat their bacon egg and sun-dried tomato pizza for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, but the Italian classic – prosciutto and melon with a honey balsamic glaze – comes a close second. The peppermint espresso martini and their mulled wine hit the mark. And it wasn’t the cozy fire inside the igloo that turned up the heat, it was the spicy rigatoni, with a long, hot vodka sauce and garlic ricotta.

With just one step inside Center City’s pop-up Christmas bar, tinselyou’ll be transported to a winter wonderland with so much snow, sparks, and sweet sips you won’t believe you’re still in Philadelphia!

They have a stunt named after the Grinch. It’s green, minty, and dipped in chocolate shavings, but the best part is… you can eat the candy cane shot glass!

The “Canned Goods”, is a Red Bull cocktail with cinnamon and blueberries, and every time you buy one, a dollar is donated to charity.

The Gray Goose in a pear tree is a cocktail made inside an ornament, in which you can drink and keep the decoration of your tree!
